Solano Land Trust is looking for a GIS & Conservation Easement Monitoring Specialist ready to bring meaningful career experiences into one position. As the GIS & Conservation Easement Monitoring Specialist, you will manage and lead Solano Land Trust's GIS program — managing spatial data, producing maps that drive conservation work from initial due diligence through long-term protection, and supporting land transactions from start to finish.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of Solano Land Trust's GIS program, including spatial data infrastructure, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and related conservation data platforms
- Schedule and conduct annual site visits to all conservation easement sites in Solano Land Trust's portfolio
- Assist with documentation for new property acquisitions
- Produce maps and analyses to support conservation due diligence, transactions, and stewardship
- Maintain and improve internal GIS workflows and data quality standards
Requirements:
- Degree in Geography/GIS, Environmental Science, or a related field, OR at least two years of hands-on GIS experience
- Proficiency with ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects
- Comfort with field work in varied terrain and weather
Compensation: $26.00-$28.00/hour DOE; full-time, non-exempt; opportunities for spot bonuses. Benefits include partial employer-paid health/dental/vision insurance, 403(b) retirement plan with 3% match, eleven paid holidays, and three weeks of annual vacation. Based in Vacaville, CA with hybrid flexibility; regular presence at the main office and field visits across Solano County are required.
