GIS Data Governance Specialist

The MSF GIS Centre (Data Management Team) seeks a Data Governance Specialist to establish and operationalize a robust data-governance framework for geospatial and operational data. The role defines and maintains data-governance policies and data-stewardship roles for the GIS Centre; designs and operates automated data-quality monitoring across geospatial and operational data pipelines; and implements and maintains a data catalogue with standardized metadata and lineage documentation, building automation tools integrated with platforms such as FME, PostGIS and ArcGIS. Requires a master's degree in Geographic Information Systems, Computer Science or Information Science with a focus on data management (or equivalent professional experience), and a minimum of five years combining GIS data analytics and data governance/stewardship, with expertise in ETL pipelines, enterprise geodatabases and Python/GIS libraries. Home-based, full-time permanent position; fluent English required.
