GIS Developer

This role focuses on designing and developing enterprise geospatial applications for county operations. The developer will build web, desktop, and automated GIS solutions within a modern enterprise environment while collaborating with analysts and stakeholders. Key responsibilities include supporting the ArcGIS Enterprise platform, automating workflows, integrating GIS systems with enterprise databases, and leading solution design efforts. The position emphasizes modernizing the county's GIS architecture, expanding web capabilities through Experience Builder and custom applications, and improving data governance. Required experience includes seven years in advanced GIS development roles, with preferred qualifications in ArcGIS Enterprise, Python, JavaScript, and enterprise geodatabase administration. This hybrid position requires at least one day weekly in-office and offers competitive benefits including Virginia Retirement System participation. Salary $82,777.50 - $139,288.50 annually.
