Milwaukee County Parks Department is hiring a seasonal GIS Intern. The intern will collect high-accuracy data in the field, train staff to collect data, and quality check information into databases using ESRI software.
Key Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- field data collection for infrastructure assets (water, electrical systems, site improvements, natural resources, pavement)
- reviewing collected data using ArcPro
- training departmental staff
- maintaining GPS equipment
- and updating mapping platforms
Requirements
Requirements: Wisconsin residency, valid driver's license, and current pursuit of or completion of a bachelor's degree in natural resources, geography, or related GIS field.
Preferred experience: prior mapping or GIS background, ESRI software familiarity, and field data collection experience.
Compensation $15.91-$23.87 hourly.
