GIS Intern

Milwaukee County Parks Department is hiring a seasonal GIS Intern. The intern will collect high-accuracy data in the field, train staff to collect data, and quality check information into databases using ESRI software. Key responsibilities include field data collection for infrastructure assets (water, electrical systems, site improvements, natural resources, pavement), reviewing collected data using ArcPro, training departmental staff, maintaining GPS equipment, and updating mapping platforms. Requirements: Wisconsin residency, valid driver's license, and current pursuit of or completion of a bachelor's degree in natural resources, geography, or related GIS field. Preferred experience: prior mapping or GIS background, ESRI software familiarity, and field data collection experience. Compensation $15.91-$23.87 hourly.
