GIS Solution Engineer - State and Local Government (Northern Midwest)

Esri seeks a GIS subject matter expert to join their account team as a Solution Engineer serving state and local government clients in the Northern Midwest region. This mid-level individual contributor role focuses on identifying appropriate analysis tools and crafting innovative GIS solutions that address complex business challenges. Core Responsibilities: Build and maintain customer relationships while supporting sales strategies as part of an account team; Develop deep expertise in both local government operations and ArcGIS technology; Proactively craft and propose solutions that clarify how GIS brings business value to clients; Create technical demonstrations and deliver presentations tailored to both technical and non-technical audiences at conferences and trade shows. Key Requirements: Minimum 2+ years with Esri technology (mapping, spatial analysis, web applications); 1+ years of local government experience; Understanding of ArcGIS from IT perspectives including infrastructure and cloud platforms; Technical consulting and solution design background; Geodatabase and DBMS knowledge; Strong presentation and interpersonal abilities; 25-50% travel capability; Bachelor's degree in geography, computer science, or related field; U.S. work authorization (no visa sponsorship). Compensation: Base salary range $79,248-$130,728 USD.
