GIS & Spatial Data Specialist

Florida Atlantic University is seeking a GIS & Spatial Data Specialist in Boca Raton, FL. Reporting to the Director of Space Utilization and Analysis, the Specialist serves as the technical lead for the University's geospatial, space inventory, and facilities-related data environment. Responsibilities include developing, maintaining, and expanding the University's GIS environment supporting facilities, space inventory, infrastructure, and grounds; managing geospatial datasets related to buildings, floor plans, utilities, and landscapes; ensuring spatial data accuracy across GIS, CAFM/CMMS, and space inventory systems; performing spatial analysis, geoprocessing, and data transformations; producing maps, dashboards, and digital visualization products; developing automated workflows and scripts (Python, SQL, ArcPy); and configuring GPS devices and mobile data collection tools for field surveys. Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, Urban Planning, Computer Science, or related field (Master's preferred); 3-5 years of professional GIS/spatial data management experience; demonstrated experience with Esri ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online/Enterprise; experience integrating space inventory, facilities, or infrastructure datasets. Salary $75,000-$85,000/year.
