This position organizes and coordinates the development and maintenance of the City's Geographic Information System (GIS) within the Information Technology Department, reporting directly to the IT Director. Primary duties include planning, organizing, and coordinating GIS and mobile GIS development and maintenance; coordinating GIS workflows, receiving departmental requests, and prioritizing projects; updating annexation data annually for the U.S. Census Bureau; administering the central mapping data repository ensuring data structure organization and application availability; collecting utility data and importing into GIS; performing data analysis supporting Fire and Police Department accreditation; reviewing developments for fiber network improvements; updating utility maps, street maps, city limits, and zoning data on the city website; creating and maintaining interactive maps; managing ArcGIS Online user accounts; designing and maintaining the Hub webpage; creating maps assisting decision-makers; assisting with GIS software integrations; maintaining hard copy and electronic records; and coordinating with other municipalities and state entities. Minimum qualifications: Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in Geographic Information Systems, Geography, Planning, Landscape Architecture, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, plus three years of experience working with geographic information systems such as ArcGIS and experience with CAD software like AutoCAD. Valid Florida Driver's License required. Salary range: $49,670.40 - $63,065.60 annually.
