The University of Utah's Auxiliary Services group seeks a GIS Specialist II to design, implement, and manage geospatial data and databases for campus.
Responsibilities
- obtaining, compiling, and analyzing GIS data from multiple sources;
- operating drones to capture aerial imagery for campus documentation;
- using mobile LiDAR scanners to build interior point clouds;
- conducting field audits to verify GIS data accuracy;
- authoring Python scripts to automate large geoprocessing tasks;
- and building GIS web applications for university departments.
Minimum qualifications
Minimum qualifications: bachelor's degree plus 4 years of related experience, or a master's degree plus 2 years.
Preferred skills include ArcGIS Pro, Python, JavaScript, CAD, and FAA Part 107 UAS certification. Salary $55,000-$70,000.
