The City of Worcester Department of Public Works seeks a GIS Support Technician for the Water Operations Division. Under the direction of the Senior GIS Analyst, the GIS Support Technician will be responsible for editing Water and Sewer data within a versioned geodatabase environment using Esri ArcGIS Pro software for the Geographic Information System (GIS) within the Department of Public Works (DPW). Key responsibilities: maintain GIS data, analyze georeferenced plans, generate maps and reports using ArcGIS PRO upon request, assist with training and field data collection. Essential duties encompass updating water/sewer data, processing data from various sources, digitizing information into Feature Classes, creating requested maps and reports, and supporting the Asset Management software systems. Required qualifications: bachelor's degree in GIS, geography, engineering, or computer science (or equivalent experience plus three years in relevant roles); one year with ArcGIS Pro 3.x; GIS hardware experience; Microsoft Office proficiency; data quality assurance background. Preferred: two years of ArcGIS Pro experience in municipal/utility environments, one year with AutoCAD. Wage $31.40-$38.27 per hour. Full-time, 40 hours per week.
