GIS Technician

Under general supervision, performs technical duties related to the collection, maintenance, and presentation of spatial data. Primary duties: collects and maintains spatial data using computers for City operations; assists with enterprise spatial database maintenance; implements and maintains GIS enterprise-grade software; maintains secure, accurate spatial data with emphasis on addresses and streets; creates professional maps for staff and management; promotes GIS use within the City; and performs assigned duties as needed. Minimum requirements: Associate degree or equivalent coursework in GIS, Geography, Computer Science or a related field; OR two years of technical GIS experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. Special requirements: valid Arizona Driver's License and must obtain Arizona Criminal Justice Information System (ACJIS) certification post-hire. Required knowledge and skills: City policies and procedures, SQL, enterprise GIS software, ESRI ArcGIS Online, spatial data concepts, public records research, data standardization, process documentation, interdepartmental collaboration, and communication skills. Salary $55,452.80-$77,376.00 annually. Closes August 3, 2026.
