GIS Technician
Overview
Under the supervision of the GIS-911 Programs Manager, this position provides assistance with 911 addressing and general Geographic Information System (GIS) database maintenance tasks. The position offers basic map production and spatial data assistance to various other departments, the general public, and outside agencies.
Key responsibilities include managing 911 address assignments, maintaining 911 databases, providing maps and GIS support via multiple communication channels, and conducting data research at county offices.
The role requires a high school diploma/GED plus one year of GIS experience, or a bachelor's degree in GIS or a related geospatial field.
