GIS Technician

This role serves as the first point of contact for GIS services across the County, handling geospatial data, mapping, and technical support for the public and county departments. The technician maintains authoritative GIS datasets, publishes web mapping applications, and assists with field data collection quality assurance. Key responsibilities include processing customer requests for parcel data, legal descriptions, and custom mapping; supporting county departments with spatial analysis and web map creation; creating and editing GIS data including digitizing, attribute entry, and quality assurance; maintaining parcel fabric, address points, and road centerline datasets; and troubleshooting web mapping application issues. Required: a two-year GIS certificate OR two years relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience. Core tools: ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, Field Maps, Survey123, and Microsoft Office 365. Preferred skills include Python (arcpy), SQL, and CAD software familiarity.
