GIS/Spatial Analysis Specialist

The Department of Geography at Dartmouth College seeks a GIS/Spatial Analysis Specialist to support the department's instructional and research activities by applying knowledge and skill in GIS, spatial analysis, and related computer technology. Teaching (70%): serve as lab instructor and teaching assistant for introductory and intermediate GIS courses, teach lab sessions, assist with instruction including grading and troubleshooting technical problems, and collaborate with faculty to develop curricula and advise on hardware/software. Research (30%): collaborate with faculty and department members on research activities requiring GIS operations including spatial analysis and cartography; also manage departmental computing resources. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Geography or a related field, two years of relevant laboratory/research experience, proficiency with Esri ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online, and university-level student support experience. Regular full-time (40 hrs/week), hybrid eligible. Hiring range $28.53-$31.92/hour. Applicants must submit a sample of GIS work-related projects along with a cover letter and resume/CV.
