Joining our growing Programme Information Management unit, you will develop practical, innovative methodologies and tools to enhance MAG's operational efficiency, decision making, and situational awareness across our global portfolio of programmes. You will lead research and development processes to advance the use of Earth Observation (EO) data and drone-based solutions in Humanitarian Mine Action (HMA) and Weapon and Ammunition Management (WAM) operational contexts. You will play a key role in partnership development. We're looking for someone with: Proficiency with remote sensing platforms (satellites, drones) and sensor technologies (optical, radar, LiDAR, multispectral), combined with hands-on experience using GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS, ENVI, ERDAS Imagine) for data processing, analysis, and visualization. Familiarity with satellite imagery providers and datasets, including both open-access (e.g., Copernicus/Sentinel, Landsat) and commercial sources (e.g., Maxar, Planet, Airbus). Proficiency in machine learning techniques for geospatial data analysis, including image classification, feature extraction, and predictive modeling. Desirable experience with drone data workflows, including flight planning, photogrammetry, and orthomosaic/3D model generation. Starting salary approx. £35,904 GBP / $48,100 USD per annum.
