Duties: As the Survey and Right of Way Manager, you will lead a team that collects land survey data and secures the land rights to build infrastructure for National Parks, Forests, and Wildlife Refuges. You will also: Plan, coordinate, direct, and supervise the survey, mapping, right-of-way, and utility coordination activities for the Division. Estimate and manage the technical scope, schedule, and budget for project activities. Lead the refinement of standard operating procedures and quality control measures. Lead the implementation of new technology. Ensure measurable high-quality, timely, and cost-effective results. The ideal candidate for this position is a senior career land surveyor or civil engineer with extensive experience supervising land surveyors and survey technicians performing field surveys, researching property boundaries, preparing right-of-way documents, and conducting utility coordination for transportation improvement projects. Qualifications: Applicants must meet the positive education requirement for either the Civil Engineer (0810) or Land Surveyor (1373) series, plus specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level in the Federal service.
