The intern, hosted by the UN Global Geodetic Centre of Excellence (UN-GGCE) in Bonn, Germany, will translate complex geodesy, GNSS, satellite-based positioning, and Earth observation concepts into accessible visual narratives for diverse audiences. Responsibilities include developing data visualizations, infographics, and communication materials that explain geospatial and geodetic concepts to non-technical stakeholders; enhancing UN-GGCE outreach materials such as reports, briefs, web content, and social-media assets; supporting outreach activities for events including UN-GGIM committee sessions and the Subcommittee on Geodesy; collaborating with technical teams to ensure scientific accuracy of all visual outputs; and contributing to brand and visual-identity guidelines for UN-GGCE communications. Requirements include current enrollment in or completion of a graduate program (or final year of a Bachelor's degree minimum) in graphic design, visual communication, multimedia design, information design, communications, or a related field. Working knowledge of Adobe Creative applications, particularly InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop, is required. A background in geospatial sciences, geography, environmental sciences, or Earth observation is strongly encouraged. Expected duration is 6 months; Grade I-1; position is unpaid and the intern covers their own travel, visa, accommodation, and living expenses.
