IT Specialist (GIS) - Web Development

This position is at various Bureaus/Offices at the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) located in Washington, DC. Selected candidates may be appointed at the Wireless Telecommunications Bureau (WTB) or the Office of Engineering & Technology (OET). Duties: The purpose of this position is to provide expert automation and web development support to the Bureau. The position enables the web distribution of technical information, data, applications and services supporting wireless spectrum management and analysis in the Bureau. The incumbent will specialize in Internet planning, analysis, design, development, configuration, integration, implementation and maintenance. Incumbent is responsible for one or more functional areas or key applications and is considered an expert in web technology and design. Incumbent leads projects that impact the Bureau which includes advising management and staff in the use of Internet technology, Internet suites of pages, new software, technologies, and system configurations. This work will ensure that the Bureau's responsibility to collect, use, and disseminate data is consistent with the goals and objectives of the Agency, and that the Bureau's data policies and processes are in alignment with the Commission's policies. Qualifications: In order to be deemed as qualified, candidates must meet the qualification criteria described in the announcement. Individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the required competencies. Subject matter experts conduct a scored structured resume review to determine if candidates' resumes demonstrate all required competencies; to be eligible for referral to the selecting official, candidates must receive a score of at least 93. At the GS-11 grade level, candidates must meet the required OPM GS-2210 competencies in addition to the FCC specific job competencies. Salary: $85,447 - $158,322 per year. Relocation expenses will not be paid. Telework eligible as determined by agency policy.
