Lecturer in Geographic Information Science

Binghamton University's Department of Geography seeks a full-time lecturer for a teaching-focused role with initial appointment up to three years, renewable. The position starts August 17, 2026, with a 3/3 teaching load. Responsibilities: Teach GIScience courses spanning introductory through advanced levels, including GIS, cartography and geovisualization, spatial analysis, as well as other areas (e.g., web GIS). Additional duties include developing a research program and providing service contributions. Required Qualifications: Ph.D. in Geography or closely related field by August 17, 2026; Teaching experience in GIScience courses (as instructor or TA).
