LiDAR Data Analyst

The position involves implementing Terrestrial LiDAR Scanning and remote sensing programs within the Fire Management Department of The Ember Alliance. Key responsibilities include processing and quality-controlling LiDAR data, managing scanning campaigns, developing data management protocols, coordinating with project managers and field crews, producing summary reports and fuels characterization tools, developing machine learning models in Python and R, supervising staff, and securing funding through grants and proposals. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Forestry, Geography, Remote Sensing, or related field; minimum 2 years managing geospatial/LiDAR data workflows; at least 2 years managing multiple ongoing or high-complexity projects; experience with TLS/aerial LiDAR processing tools (LAStools, CloudCompare, PDAL); programming skills in Python or R; GIS platform experience (ArcGIS, QGIS, ArcPro). Compensation $34 per hour. Permanent remote, 40 hours/week average. Closes May 14, 2026.
