The Center for Geographic Analysis (CGA) at Harvard University, part of the Institute for Quantitative Social Science within the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, seeks a Postdoctoral Fellow. Responsibilities: Develop and deliver geographic data science and GIS training workshops (30%); Support CGA research activities through consultation and collaboration (30%); Build an independent research profile and pursue external funding (30%); Enhance CGA's visibility through networking activities (10%); with possible undergraduate/graduate teaching contributions. Qualifications: PhD in geography, GIScience, or a related social science; demonstrated experience working with spatial analytic methods to answer substantive spatial social science questions. Preferred: experience developing and teaching spatial methods, especially desktop GIS, R, and Python. Compensation is $70,000-$80,000 annually. This is a one-year appointment with the possibility of renewal, beginning Fall 2026.
