UC Santa Barbara's Department of Geography, in partnership with the Western Fire and Forest Resilience Collaborative, seeks a Postdoctoral Scholar focused on fire ecology in California's Sierra Nevada Mountains and the broader western United States. The scholar will parameterize and apply the iLand forest landscape model to understand fire-vegetation interactions through ecological modeling and data integration. Preferred qualifications include experience working with remote sensing or large spatial datasets and individual-based or forest landscape models across western ecosystems.
