The position focuses on controlling invasive Eastern Red Cedar trees that threaten Sandhill Prairie and wetland habitats, using cutting and digging with hand tools, ATV-mowing equipment, and herbicide application.

The primary responsibility (60%) is documenting locations and treatments applied to invasive trees using GPS and GIS technology; the secondary focus (40%) includes plant monitoring, grazing program assessment, invasive species control, habitat mapping, and other biological surveys.

Requirements

Requirements include a valid driver's license, age 16-30 (veterans up to 35), and U.S. work authorization; GIS experience is advantageous.

Compensation is $600/week plus a $1,100 relocation benefit and free housing. Term: June 22-October 30, 2026. Deadline June 12, 2026.
