Sr. Software Development Engineer - Web Developer

Esri's Professional Services is seeking a full-stack developer with a front-end focus to contribute across a suite of innovative GIS software products in indoor mapping, transportation, utilities, and system observability. You will craft intuitive, high-performance, accessible user interfaces that bring clarity to complex spatial and real-time data, enabling users to explore and make decisions within rich, dynamic environments. Responsibilities: Design responsive UIs using React and JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks; create interactive visualizations that support data-driven decisions; collaborate on APIs and data models that optimize performance; maintain clean, modular code through peer reviews; partner with UX designers and product teams on user-centric features; participate in Scrum ceremonies and iterative development; troubleshoot software issues across devices; and mentor junior developers. Required qualifications: 5+ years of software development experience with a front-end focus; proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, React, HTML5, and CSS3; knowledge of design patterns (MVVM, MVC) and SOLID principles; SQL and RDBMS experience (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle); Git and Agile experience; and a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related STEM field. Recommended: experience with the Esri Calcite Design System or ArcGIS Maps SDK, and front-end CI/CD tooling. Salary range: $123,136-$202,488 USD.
