Tax Map and GIS Technician

This full-time, non-exempt position works in the Engineer's Office and assists with the daily responsibilities of the Tax Map Office, which includes responding to the public and other County departments concerning legal descriptions of property, ownership, address, parcel identification numbers, and drafting maps. Key responsibilities include receiving and verifying the accuracy of maps and records within the Tax Map Department and GIS system, drafting and updating maps using technical tools, and researching and interpreting property titles and legal documents. Required qualifications include completion of secondary education with technical training in CADD, GIS, drafting, or surveying plus related work experience, knowledge of real estate terminology, Ohio Revised Code, and geometry, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and ESRI's ArcGIS. Reports to the Tax Map Supervisor or Chief Surveyor. Salary $24.07-$29.22 hourly. Job Number 2501286.
