Beloit College seeks a Visiting Assistant Professor/Instructor to teach part time during the 2026-27 academic year with possibility for renewal. The successful candidate will teach one GIS (Geographic Information Systems) course in Fall 2026 within the Environmental Studies and/or Geology programs. The role involves designing and delivering a high-quality undergraduate GIS course, mentoring students on geospatial projects, and contributing to the College's interdisciplinary environmental and geosciences curriculum. Beloit College is a private liberal arts college in Beloit, Wisconsin known for its rigorous, student-centered teaching environment. Required qualifications include a Master's degree (PhD preferred) in Geography, Environmental Science, Geology, or a closely related field with demonstrated GIS expertise; teaching experience at the undergraduate level; proficiency with ArcGIS Pro and/or QGIS; and the ability to engage diverse learners. Preferred qualifications include experience teaching applied GIS courses, familiarity with remote sensing and spatial analysis, and a commitment to liberal arts education.
