Geographic Information Sciences Specialist

The Geographic Information Sciences Specialist designs and conducts local and site-level suitability analysis for potential locations of the Cosmic Explorer Observatory using Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Key responsibilities include calibration of GIS systems between those implemented in ArcGIS and those implemented in Python, accounting for geographic factors such as roads, wells, and flood areas, and supporting the research team led by Dr. Joshua Smith. This is a grant-funded role requiring a Master's degree in geography, GIS/T, or a closely related field plus familiarity with ArcGIS. Full-time at $28.00-$30.00 hourly.
