GIS Analyst I

The City of Durham's Technology Solutions Department seeks a GIS Analyst I to provide enterprise geographic information systems support. The role focuses on maintaining GIS data accuracy, compatibility, consistency, and standardization while supporting mapping projects and public safety applications. Duties include creating and editing spatial datasets, developing web-based mapping solutions, troubleshooting GIS applications, coordinating special initiatives, and providing staff training on GIS workflows and best practices. Minimum qualifications include a bachelor's degree in geography with GIS focus, information technology, or computer science; two years of GIS-related experience; a valid NC driver's license; and proficiency with Esri software.
