Job Summary: The position assists with enterprise database maintenance, data distribution, spatial data product creation, and customer inquiry responses while supporting GIS data integration across the County. The role requires strong fundamentals in GIS, database editing, data analysis, and customer service, with additional support for IT projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Supports design, maintenance, and data integrity of the enterprise GIS database and related applications.
- Prepares and maintains comprehensive documentation for address verification administration.
- Provides business analysis support, documentation, and data management to County departments.
- Supports GIS integration into County applications including coordination, testing, and implementation.
- Administers addressing programs with documentation maintenance and inter-departmental coordination.
- Provides technical guidance, assistance, and training to users.
- Interacts effectively with the public and partner organizations.
- May support the County's Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) team for mission planning and product deliverables.
- Maintains professional relationships with citizens and staff.
Minimum Qualifications
- Up to 1 year of GIS technology experience (1+ year highly preferred).
- Bachelor's degree in GIS, Computer Science, Data Science, Business, Planning, or a related field.
- FAA Part 107 Certification desired within six months of employment.
- Valid Colorado Driver's License with acceptable Motor Vehicle Record.
Required Knowledge
Public administration, research methods, fiscal management, organizational planning, public policy, geospatial analysis, GIS data management, and advanced Esri ArcGIS expertise.
Required Skills
Effective verbal and written communication, multitasking under pressure, independent and team-based work, project management, deadline management, policy interpretation, relationship-building, and cartography/spatial database competencies.
Work Environment: Standard office setting with occasional field work required.
Salary: $73,079.97 - $127,890.05 annually. Opened July 27, 2026; closes August 9, 2026 at 11:59 PM Mountain Time.
