GIS Specialist

This grant-funded position with the Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Management (DFFM) manages data life cycle management for the department's Firewise and Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP) programs. The specialist develops geospatial solutions for resource management, creates detailed maps and graphics, and assists with fire incident response. Key responsibilities include building an online geospatial portal for Arizona's CWPPs, creating GIS layers for fire prevention activities, managing spatial databases, and supporting cartographic production. Requires expertise in GIS software, spatial analysis, data quality assurance, and database management. Ability to work irregular hours including weekends and holidays during fire season required. Salary $27.14-$29.04 hourly (Grade 20). Located at 1110 W Washington St, Ste 500, Phoenix, AZ 85007. Open until filled.
