Product Manager, Tanager

Planet is seeking a Product Manager to oversee Tanager, our hyperspectral imaging satellite product. Tanager-1 is already on orbit and operational. In this role you will set the product strategy and roadmap for our hyperspectral data offerings, drive commercial growth in the methane monitoring market, and collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Engineering, and Science teams. You'll engage directly with customers to define product requirements and translate them into a compelling roadmap. The ideal candidate has 5+ years as a power-user of satellite imagery, remote sensing, and GIS, preferably with experience using hyperspectral imagery, and demonstrated experience in fields such as defense, agriculture, or environmental conservation. This role requires the ability to obtain and maintain export control compliance clearance (EAR/ITAR). Compensation varies by location: National range $127,000-$158,700; NYC/California $136,000-$170,000; San Francisco $144,500-$180,600, plus equity and benefits. Application deadline July 27, 2026.
