Research Assistant (GIS)

A temporary Research Assistant is needed and the primary responsiblities involve utilizing GIS software for digitizing tasks, and efficiently managing and analyzing data in varied formats. A strong background and expertise in working with GIS software (e.g., QGIS), or other industry-standard tools is needed.

Minimum Experience/Education

Bachelor's degree or relevant experience and eduction/course work.

• Experience primarily using Windows operating systems
• Knowledge of basic GIS principles and experiences with ArcGIS or QGIS
• Ability to adequately use Microsoft Excel
• Familiarity with food animal production, knowledge of spatiality data, and a strong understanding of apatial analysis.

Anticipated Hiring Range: $25.00 - $32.00/hr

Work Schedule: TBD (Monday - Friday 9 am - 5 pm)
