Chesapeake Conservancy, a nonprofit organization based in Annapolis, Maryland, is seeking a Senior Geospatial Analyst to support conservation and restoration projects in the Chesapeake Bay watershed. Within the Conservancy, the Conservation Innovation Center (CIC) is a globally recognized leader in high-resolution land cover and land use data, geospatial analysis, data science, and web application development to advance precision conservation and restoration. The Senior Geospatial Analyst leads geospatial projects including high-resolution land cover and land use data development, conservation modeling, and water quality applications. Core duties include developing innovative geospatial methods to address environmental challenges, automating iterative geospatial processes using Python and ModelBuilder, producing land cover and stream channel datasets at high resolution, prioritizing restoration efforts with stakeholder groups, assessing future climate change impacts, supporting equitable access to Bay recreation, presenting analyses to diverse audiences, researching emerging methodologies, and producing technical documentation. Required qualifications include Esri ArcGIS Pro 2.x or ArcGIS Desktop 10.x expertise, demonstrated experience with geospatial workflow automation using Python, a strong GIS and remote sensing background, and a Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of experience or a Master's degree with 1+ year of experience. Salary range is $55,000-$65,000 based on experience. Position is based at the Annapolis, Maryland office with remote work options available.
