Specialist in Geospatial Data (GIS) and Forest Carbon

WWF Denmark is seeking a Specialist in Geospatial Data (GIS) and Forest Carbon to be a key part of securing results for nature. Key responsibilities: support the forest carbon portfolio through GIS analysis for project design and monitoring; contribute to carbon certification documentation and technical reporting; develop data management systems and standards across conservation projects; collaborate with WWF colleagues globally in Africa, Asia, and the Arctic; and support knowledge sharing by translating analyses into actionable recommendations. Qualifications: at least 3-5 years of relevant work experience from NGOs, research institutions, or consultancy; a scientific, technical, or analytical background; technical proficiency with remote sensing and GIS, including experience with relevant software and cloud platforms; strong data management and analytical capabilities; understanding of carbon project development and monitoring processes; a collaborative mindset with cross-cultural experience; ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences; fluent written and spoken English; and commitment to WWF's conservation mission.
