WWF Denmark is seeking a Specialist in Geospatial Data (GIS) and Forest Carbon to be a key part of securing results for nature.

Key responsibilities

  • support the forest carbon portfolio through GIS analysis for project design and monitoring;
  • contribute to carbon certification documentation and technical reporting;
  • develop data management systems and standards across conservation projects;
  • collaborate with WWF colleagues globally in Africa, Asia, and the Arctic; and
  • support knowledge sharing by translating analyses into actionable recommendations.

Qualifications

  • at least 3-5 years of relevant work experience from NGOs, research institutions, or consultancy;
  • a scientific, technical, or analytical background;
  • technical proficiency with remote sensing and GIS, including experience with relevant software and cloud platforms;
  • strong data management and analytical capabilities;
  • understanding of carbon project development and monitoring processes;
  • a collaborative mindset with cross-cultural experience;
  • ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences;
  • fluent written and spoken English; and
  • commitment to WWF's conservation mission.
