WWF Denmark is seeking a Specialist in Geospatial Data (GIS) and Forest Carbon to be a key part of securing results for nature.
Key responsibilities
- support the forest carbon portfolio through GIS analysis for project design and monitoring;
- contribute to carbon certification documentation and technical reporting;
- develop data management systems and standards across conservation projects;
- collaborate with WWF colleagues globally in Africa, Asia, and the Arctic; and
- support knowledge sharing by translating analyses into actionable recommendations.
Qualifications
- at least 3-5 years of relevant work experience from NGOs, research institutions, or consultancy;
- a scientific, technical, or analytical background;
- technical proficiency with remote sensing and GIS, including experience with relevant software and cloud platforms;
- strong data management and analytical capabilities;
- understanding of carbon project development and monitoring processes;
- a collaborative mindset with cross-cultural experience;
- ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences;
- fluent written and spoken English; and
- commitment to WWF's conservation mission.
