Surveyor Senior or Advanced

This role serves as a statewide coordinator and specialist for local units of government, overseeing compliance of work from more than 350 licensed surveyors. Responsibilities include analyzing state statutes, administrative rules, and local ordinances to guide solutions with surveyors, developers, and officials across Wisconsin. Key duties involve instructing local units of government on land division reviews, delegating and monitoring staff work, and performing survey data analysis. The position is offered at two classification levels based on qualifications. Classification Levels - Surveyor-Senior: $21.70-$38.58 per hour; pay schedule 14-14; FLSA-exempt. - Surveyor-Advanced: $28.24-$52.09 per hour; pay schedule 14-13; requires a valid Wisconsin Professional Land Surveyor license and includes a $1/hour licensure bonus. Qualifications Candidates must demonstrate experience with the plat mapping process and knowledge of Wisconsin Chapter 236 statutes, plus strong technical writing and presentation abilities.
